JCI London honours exceptional and talented young people – TOYP 2019 OPEN!
Do you know a hidden gem between the ages of 18-40 who deserves commendation for their accomplishments in the London community? Well here is the chance for you to recommend that special person for all their hard work and dedication.
JCI UK has officially opened up the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons” Programme (TOYP), an annual national and international award to recognise outstanding young people who excel and create positive change in their chosen fields. The list is comprised of categories in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- Business, economic and/or entrepreneurial accomplishment
- Political, legal and/or governmental affairs
- Academic leadership and/or accomplishment
- Cultural achievement
- Moral and/or environmental leadership
- Contribution to children, world peace and/or human rights
- Humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership
- Scientific and/or technological development
- Personal improvement and/or accomplishment
- Medical innovation.
This way, we are able celebrate exemplary work regardless of sector and industry.
As an organisation committed to building up young people to make a real impact in their local communities, we believe in acknowledging their drive not only to develop themselves, but potentially serve as role models of excellence to be admired and respected as an inspiration to others.
All candidates will be judged and the final ten will go on to represent London at the National Convention in Belfast this November. These honourees are then put forward to represent the UK in the worldwide programme, where past honourees have included activists, entrepreneurs, and many more from around the globe.
The deadline for submissions will be Friday 21st June 2019 at 9.00pm. All completed forms must be submitted to JCI London Community Action Director Chantelle Nylander – Quartey at chantelle.nylander@jcilondon.co.uk
Nomination forms for the programme can be found here.
Please ensure as much information about the nominee is included as possible to give them the best chance.
