30 Days of Giving


Giving to others and making the community a better place is the lifeblood of JCI, because it’s simply the right thing to do. But did you know giving is scientifically proven to boost happiness, trust and connection, while also reducing stress and anxiety?
This November, we’re launching 30 Days of Giving. The aim is to do one act of giving each day, no matter how big or small. We’ll send out ideas each day, like giving up your seat on the tube, donating books you’ve already read, or telling someone you’re grateful for them.
How it works:- Do your best to one small act of giving each day. Follow our ideas or create your own!
- Take pictures as you go along.
- Create a collage of some / all of your pictures at the end of November. Here is a list of some collage apps for smartphones, there are a lot more!
- Post your collage in the JCI London Members Group or email them to drew.cornies@jcilondon.org.uk.
This initiative was inspired by 365give, a Canadian nonprofit organisation. For more information, watch their TED talk - as you’ll see, it’s so simple a 3-year old can do it!
