Firstly, I'm sorry. I lied to you just there. There were no blizzards, it was just a way of getting hook to make you keep reading, but it was cold and there was snow and i was telling the truth about the burgers, but I'll get to those.

So the Sunday just gone saw the first official social event for JCI Barnsley this year, slide n sledge at Xscape followed by a bite to eat. This was the first time I'd been on the snow at Xscape and I was shocked at how close to real snow it was. If you've not been, get yourself down there and have a go. The snow was great fun, especially the rubber rings on the fixed tracks. To say it was -5 in there, by the time we all came out, we were red hot as we couldn't use the ski lift to get back to the top.

After the fun in the snow, we went for a bite to eat at Giraffe. If you've not been, it's an American themed place with a focus on Burgers. The food was great, but the highlight of the meal for me was the adult milkshake. An alcoholic Oreo milkshake in my opinion is a stroke of genius.
