Could you step up and be the 2019 Finance and Membership Director for JCI UK?

For some people, the thought of a spreadsheet, multiple formula and a whole lot of data can be mind blowing; for others, this is right up their street! If you are one of those and are good with numbers, money and accounts you may like to consider standing as the Finance and Membership Director on the 2019 National Team. We are looking for someone with experience of creating and managing a budget and preparing management accounts, either in your professional life, or previously at a local level within JCI - perhaps you are an accountant or work in finance for example.
The membership part of the role is really related to the finance side – closely monitoring membership payments and informing Local Presidents and Membership Directors when new members have joined, are due for renewal or have left. This role will work closely with the National Secretariat who will carrying out many admin tasks such as sending out membership packs to new members. It is vital we continue to keep a close eye on our membership levels at a local and national level to ensure we are here for the next 100 years!

Please read the role description for the 2019 Finance & Membership Director Role so you are clear about the requirements and expectations of the role and I strongly recommend you speak to me about your interest.
If you wish to stand, please complete the Intention to stand template for 2019 updated – this asks for the reasons you want to stand, what experience you have and the ideas you have for the role. You then need to get a JCI Chamber to propose you and another to second you – this would usually by the President of the proposing or seconding Chamber. Then e-mail this to Vicky Biggs, 2018 Admin Director at Vicky.biggs@jciuk.org.uk and also myself mark.smith@jciuk.org.uk at the latest, by 8pm on 31st October 2018. If more than one person stands for a particular role, we will let you know in case you wish to prepare an election campaign. This role will then be voted on by National Council at the JCI UK National Convention in Doncaster on 24th November.
