JCI Nottingham member attended the JCI World Congress Goa, India for a week packed with content, action and impact! Our member travelled with the UK delegation to beautiful Goa and participated in a number of conference activities throughout the week. The World Congress is the yearly event that active members, Senators, Alumni, and even non-members look forward to being a part of! JCI members are focused on personal development or business networking, some join to help their local community or for international networking. Personal Development Our member took part in the JCI Official training course Effective Communication: Crafting Your Message. This course is designed for JCI members who want to learn the structural components of building an effective message. Our member explored the features and elements of crafting a high-impact presentation. Participating in activities that exercise creative ways to create concepts. Japan & UK Connect JCI Japan hosted the UK National Board joint executive meeting in which our member was a part of. As the UK Community Director, our member was able to share with the Japan National board what community projects the UK participated in also the SDG’s is being tackled.  JCI Japan also shared with the UK National board their achievement and challenges. Dudhsagar Waterfall & Ancient Temple Going to Goa meant going out to see the wonderful sites! The tour began with a Safari Jeep to the Waterfall. Dudhsagar Falls a four-tiered waterfall located in the western ghats between Goa and Karnataka, Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310m. Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, it is a 12th-century Shaivite temple of the Lord Mahadeva and an active place of Hindu worship. International Network Throughout the week through various conference activities and social events, our member was able to connect with members from across the globe! JCI International events are a great opportunity to broaden your network along with getting to know how members contribute to their local and national chamber. Join Us In France! JCI LYON to host European Conference 2019, which will be held from May 8th to 11th.  The 2019 European Conference will bring together in France members from all over Europe, Senators and inspirational keynote speakers. As a UNESCO Heritage Site, Lyon has a lot to offer, restaurants, the birthplace of the Cinema and of the Printing industry, and many more!
