What's been happening so far?
Robin Hood Weekend We held our first Robin Hood Weekend in honor of our 91st anniversary. It was a great event where we celebrated our chamber’s vibrant past and those who have helped shape one of JCI’s longest running chambers outside of the US. Attendees enjoyed a tour around the historic dungeons, a three course meal and entertainment by Sheriff, Minstrel and Jester. Thank you to all those who attended and made the event special. We raised £222.18 for our chosen charity Mind. Remember to take time for yourself #5minsmeditate

East Midlands Charity Awards - Charities for SDG's JCI Nottingham was proud to sponsor the East Midlands Charity Awards! JCI Nottingham helped charities consider how to develop their Sustainable Development Goals over the coming year and make an impact in their community. Thank you to Arahbella Benta and Mark Smith for hosting the Charities for SDG's session.

Connecting with Nottingham Community Over the last few months we have been working hard towards building relationships and connecting with our city. We have recently become a strategic member of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce. We have also established a relationship with Nottingham Trent University for our training programme. All these new connections have given up a larger platform to create opportunities for young people in Nottingham. We have been visible and apart of Nottingham’s community which has given us the encouragement to keep going
JCI Nottingham is hosting a one day Mental Health Conference, ’Lets get talking’, in October where we will be taking on the conversation of mental health. We all have times when life gets on top of us – sometimes that’s work-related, like deadlines or travel. Sometimes it’s something else – our health, our relationships, or our circumstances. The one day conference will be held in Nottingham during October, with refreshments provided.
