In June we told you about JCI Birmingham taking part in JCI UK's national community project to collect old and unloved bras and donate them to Flamingo Foundation to help women in third world companies start their own businesses. Our unwanted bras can be recycled at £1 per kilo!

We are just over half way through our bra campaign and have been asking our friends, family, work colleagues and targetting our Twitter and Facebook followers to support us. We've had local companies like Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and The Birmingham Post share our campaign info with their social media followers too. We even managed a retweet from the fabulous UK bra company Bravissimo, helping to raise awareness of the Flamingo Foundation and the annual bra bank.

So far we have collected in 43 bras from our fantastic followers and there are still many more to come in!
