National Roles 2018 : Admin Director
Whilst not everyone’s idea of fun, administration is a key operation for the national organisation, and therefore the Admin Director is a lynch pin role within the team. The Admin director role is a vital part of the team and needs to be taken on by someone who has real attention to details and loves spreadsheets & lists. As the job title suggests there is a lot of paperwork and admin involved with this role. The Admin Director is there to ensure the smooth running of the organisations and it’s record keeping is accurate. This equates to making sure all papers are ready for National Council meetings are distributed in line with our constitution, taking minutes at these meetings and creating action logs and other follow up tasks. The role also assists the local chambers in arranging the national council meeting by acting as liaison to make sure everything is on order. For National Board meetings, the admin director has to book the venue and co-ordinate the entire process. Away from meetings, the Admin Director is also responsible for managing the JCI email accounts that the chambers use, and making sure that file sharing space (Google Drive) is correctly managed and maintained. Basically, anything that could be classed as admin falls under this role. I’ve included the full job description role in this link.
