National Roles 2018 : Community Director
The Community Director leads the national organisation in charity and community work, both in the UK and internationally. Each year, members from around the UK are involved in helping their local communities, as well as national and international charities, either through fund raising, collections  or volunteering time. The Community Director leads on supporting local chambers in achieving what they want to do in the community as well as heading up our flagship national projects of ACE and Pound a Day. The role will also focus on how our chambers locally are helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. This will involve updating the project gallery on the jci.cc website and coming up with projects that members across the UK can engage in. In 2018, Community Director will take the lead on the international 'Lets Do It World' project. This project will have people from around the world clearing up their communities on September 15th. The idea behind it is to bring all countries together to clean up on one day. More information on the project can be found at www.letsdoitworld.org This role will be suited to someone who has a real passion for seeing communities improve. The individual needs to be well organised and good communication skills. The full role description can be found here.
