JCI Sheffield hopefully! We are entering a team for the Hop's second annual pie eating contest. Its not quite man vs food as its a speed relay rather than a volume challenge.

Twenty teams of 4 people will first go through the heat stages on Thursday 7th March at 6pm. The teams are categorised in 4 areas, Student, Public, Business and Pubs/Bars/Clubs/ Restaurants. JCI Sheffield have entered as the latter. The winner in each category will go in to the final which will be on Saturday 9th March at 4pm.

The competition is a relay race. The first team member sits down and eats their pie, then the next person does, until all members have eaten a pie. Pretty straight forward. See the video below of the last years final. 

The JCI Sheffield team will be lead by our president, Dan Senter and will have Ben, Craig and Niki making up the team. Hopefully we will make it to the final but with anything where you are up against other people, success depends as much on the performance of the others as it does on your own performance. Fingers crossed the local rugby team hasn't entered in our category!

So if you are free this Thursday at 6pm, why not come along and support our team? They'll be an opportunity to network with JCI members as well as the other contestants. If you fancy a pie, the Hop does a five pie deal which is a pint of real ale or soft drink and a pie meal.
